In order to undermine the Putin regime's ability to wage war, Europe must organize the Russians. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of specialists who can leave Russia and form an alternative community in the West. This was stated by one of the leaders of the Russian opposition, Garry Kasparov, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

Kasparov suggests that Europe organize Russian citizens who oppose Russian President Vladimir Putin to create an alternative Russia abroad.

According to him, this is one of the most promising directions of work for the West, especially if the war drags on.

According to Kasparov, currently in the Legion "Freedom for Russia" only a few hundred people are fighting, which is "a drop in the ocean". He emphasizes that it is important to attract those who are currently in Russia and working for Putin's system, but could leave the country.

Kasparov emphasizes that an effective way to undermine the Kremlin's ability to wage war is "brain drain".

"Putin has enough soldiers to throw them to the front, but the engineers, computer specialists and financiers may not be enough. We are talking about several hundred thousand people", he points out.

Creating a "Russian Taiwan"

The oppositionist proposes to create organizational forms for these people based on the Berlin Declaration and to build "another Russia" under the white-blue-white flag – a symbol of Russian protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

He is convinced that this can actually undermine the Putin regime's ability to wage war, although he recognizes the risks of using the FSB initiative for provocations.

When asked whether these people should physically move to Europe, Kasparov answered in the affirmative.

"Yes, they should leave. Yes, many of them left then, in 2022. More than a million people, and according to some even up to three million, left and were forced to return because their passports expired. Putin immediately said: in order to get a passport, you need to return to Russia. That is, in fact, Putin understood that he could not let them go. The West did nothing," the politician points out.

"Give them the opportunity to leave. This is simply a potential that Putin cannot replace with anything. "No Hindus he will bring, or Chinese, can do it," the oppositionist notes.

He adds that many of these people have a negative attitude towards the war, and their departure will allow their intellectual potential to be used against the Kremlin.
