Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on social networks that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is not in charge in Hungary and that the country will not become a Ukrainian colony, the Hungarian news portal “Index“ reported, quoted by BTA.

“Hungary will not become a Ukrainian colony, Zelensky does not order here“, said Prime Minister Viktor Orban in a video posted on his “Facebook“ profile.

In the video, the Prime Minister recalled that today is the 19th day of the Ukrainian oil blockade. According to him, Zelensky continues to close the Druzhba oil pipeline, despite knowing that it is vital for Hungary and Slovakia. He added that Hungarian experts have been in Kiev for days, but they have not yet been allowed access to the site. "This is tantamount to recognition," Viktor Orbán believes.

At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that US President Donald Trump has begun to lift sanctions against Russian oil while Europe has not, which is leading to a sharp increase in fuel prices on the continent.

“Europe and the whole world will not be able to overcome the oil crisis without the help of cheap Russian oil. The Americans have already taken the first steps and started lifting sanctions, but in Brussels everything remains the same“, the prime minister said.

“The European Commission and the German Chancellor maintain the sanctions imposed on Russian oil. The consequences are there: in Austria, gasoline costs 700 forints (100 forints - 25 euro cents), in Germany 800, and in the Netherlands almost 1,000 forints per liter," Orbán listed.

“Here in Hungary, we guarantee the safety of families, entrepreneurs and farmers with a price ceiling. We are constantly replenishing our strategic reserves, so there is and will be no problem with supplies,“ the prime minister added.
