Explosions echoed in the capital of Bahrain

Explosions were heard this morning in the capital of Bahrain - Manama, just hours after the announcement of a two-week truce between the United States and Iran, reported Agence France-Presse, BTA reported.

"Emergency services extinguished a fire at a facility that broke out as a result of Iranian aggression", the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced on the social network "Ex".

The ministry specified that there were no reports of casualties.

US President Donald Trump said that he had agreed to suspend "bombings and attacks on Iran for a period of two weeks", Reuters reported.

Trump indicated that he had spoken with leaders from Pakistan after Earlier this night, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked his American counterpart to extend the deadline imposed on Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz by two weeks.

"Based on my conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistani Field Marshal Asim Munir, during which they requested that I halt the strike force sent to Iran tonight, and provided that the Islamic Republic of Iran agrees to a FULL, IMMEDIATE and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I am agreeing to cease bombing and attacking Iran for a period of two weeks", Trump wrote on his Twitter account.

"This will be a bilateral CEASEFIRE", the American leader emphasized.

Trump noted that the United States had received an offer from Iran that included 10 points. "I think that's a workable basis on which to negotiate," Trump added.
