US President Donald Trump has not set a hard deadline for Iran to submit a deal proposal or a deadline to end the ceasefire, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said during a meeting with reporters.

“The president has not set a hard deadline for receiving an offer from Iran, despite some reports that I have seen in the last few hours. The deadline will be set by the commander-in-chief - the president of the United States“, she said, responding to a question on the subject.

“I know there are reports citing some anonymous sources that it could be three to five days. That is not true. The president himself has not set any deadlines,“ she added.

Earlier, Axios, citing sources, reported that the extension of the truce between the US and Iran will not be indefinite. According to its sources, the head of the White House expressed his readiness to give Tehran another three to five days to “put their affairs in order“.

On Tuesday, the US president announced on TruthSocial his intention to extend the ceasefire with Iran. Mahdi Mohammadi, an advisor to the speaker of the Iranian parliament, in turn said that Washington's announced extension of the ceasefire with Iran is a tactical move that will allow it to prepare a new surprise attack on the Islamic Republic.

Mohammadi said that the US, as the “losing party”, “cannot dictate terms“.
