Rishi Sunak will become the first sitting British Prime Minister to lose his parliamentary seat in elections, shows a survey of public opinion of "Savanta" published by the newspaper "Telegraph". before the national elections on July 4, reported Reuters.

Agency "Savanta" surveyed around 18,000 people between June 7 and 18.

The poll shows Sunak's Conservatives are on course to be left with just 53 seats in Britain's 650-member House of Commons, with the opposition Labor Party set to win 516.

Most opinion polls currently project Keir Starmer's Labor leading by around 20 percentage points over the ruling Conservatives.

Despite predicting that Sunak will lose the battle for the MP seat in his constituency in northern England, once considered a Conservative stronghold, "Savanta" points out that this is not yet certain given how small the differences are.

According to the poll, the differences between first and second in more than 100 such seats are so small that it is still too early to say who will be the winner.
