Mol Nyrt, the Hungarian energy company, said it has reached a deal that will ensure uninterrupted supplies of Russian crude oil through the pipeline passing through Ukraine, reports Bloomberg, as quoted by Focus.

The announcement from the Budapest-based company on Monday comes after Ukraine effectively banned "Lukoil" to continue using the country as a transit in response to the Russian invasion. The deal will allow Mol, which controls refineries in Hungary and Slovakia, to take over crude oil deliveries at the Belarus-Ukraine border from September 9.

"The new agreement provides a sustainable solution for the transportation of crude oil through the "Druzhba" pipeline, commented Mol Refining Executive Director, Gabriel Szabo.

Mol does not specify which company or companies will supply the oil. And "Lukoil" did not respond to the publication's inquiry about supplies.
