On June 1, several Russian airfields, thousands of kilometers from the Ukrainian border, were attacked by Ukrainian military drones, with the main target of the attack being Russia's strategic bombers. Operation "Cobweb" was unique and successful, leading to the destruction of dozens of Russian military aircraft and the image of Vladimir Putin.

According to sources, a 37-year-old man played a key role in carrying out this operation. He is a civilian, his name is Artem Timofeev, and he was once a popular DJ in Kiev, writes focus.de.

He played a key role in carrying out the attack. After moving to Russia, he received Russian citizenship. He lived with his wife, Ekaterina, in Chelyabinsk and founded a freight forwarding company. According to several media reports, Timofeev's truck was used to transport Ukrainian drones to Russian bases.

Russian media reports that Timofeev is considered the main suspect in the attacks. He is now the most wanted man in Russia for the humiliation he suffered for Vladimir Putin. Timofeev and his wife are said to have left the country days before the attack. According to unconfirmed reports, they went to Kazakhstan, but their current whereabouts are unknown.

Artyom Timofeev is wanted by Russian law enforcement agencies in connection with the June 1 massive attack on airports, Telegram channels close to Russian services confirmed. In Russia, they say he is originally from Ukraine. The same is said about his wife, whose mother and younger brother still live in Kiev.

Earlier, Ukrainian services announced that the people who participated in Operation “Cobweb” on Russian soil had already left the country. According to Ukrainian media, Ukrainian services secretly transported their drones near Russian military bases located thousands of kilometers from Ukraine – deep inside Russia. They waited for the right moment to remotely lift them into the air and attack Russian airfields.

Moscow, in accordance with old tradition, initially kept quiet about what had happened, but eventually admitted that Russian airfields had become a target of Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said yesterday that Russian President Vladimir Putin had received real-time information about the series of Ukrainian strikes on Russian airfields and that the investigation into the attacks was ongoing.
