Powerful explosions rocked the US Kadena air base, located on the island of Okinawa in Japan, reports the Reuters agency, reports News.bg.
The incident occurred at an ammunition depot, where according to initial information there were injuries. Their exact number has not yet been specified.
The Japanese public broadcaster NHK reports that the facility is used by the Japanese Self-Defense Forces and serves as a temporary storage facility for unexploded ammunition.
