The Israeli Foreign Ministry has officially denied the claim made earlier by the Israeli ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, that the country had provided Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Kiev, News.bg reports.

“Israel has not delivered such systems to Ukraine“, the foreign ministry said in a brief statement in response to a query from the Israeli publication Ynet.

Earlier, Brodsky said that Ukraine had received Patriot systems that the United States had provided to Israel back in the 1990s. The diplomat did not specify when exactly the possible delivery took place.

The ambassador's statement sparked widespread international response and speculation, especially in Moscow, given the sensitivity of the topic and Israel's traditional position of avoiding direct arming of Ukraine in the context of the war with Russia.

The case highlights the delicate diplomatic balance that Israel seeks to maintain between its strategic partnership with the United States, its relations with Ukraine, and the desire to avoid direct confrontation with Moscow.
