The Israeli armed forces announced today that they have intelligence data according to which Iran is approaching the "point of no return" on the path to nuclear weapons development. This was reported by Agence France-Presse, a few hours after the Israeli airstrike on Iranian territory, BTA reports.
“Information accumulated in recent months shows that the Iranian regime is increasingly close to the point of no return“, said an official statement from the army. “The culmination of its efforts to produce thousands of kilograms of enriched uranium and the use of underground facilities now allows Iran to enrich uranium to levels suitable for the creation of nuclear weapons. This allows it to acquire such weapons in a short time,“ it added.
In another statement, the Israeli army claims to have collected documents proving the existence of “a specific plan by the Iranian regime to destroy the State of Israel“. The plan is called “Plan to destroy Israel“, the military said.
“Israel had no other choice. The Israeli armed forces are obliged to act in defense of the country's citizens and will continue to do so,“ the statement concluded.
