Iran has destroyed at least 44 Israeli drones on its border in the last 2 days.

“In the last 48 hours, thanks to the vigilance of border guards in different areas of the border, 44 Israeli drones have been detected and destroyed“, said the head of the Islamic Republic's Border Guard, Ahmad Ali Goodarzi, quoted by Nour News.

On the night of June 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale operation called “Rising Lion“, in which the Air Force strikes military targets and sites of Iran's nuclear program. The Israeli Air Force carried out several waves of attacks in various parts of Iran, including Tehran, where several high-ranking Iranian military officials were killed, including the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as a number of nuclear scientists. Several nuclear facilities in the country, including Natanz and Fordow, were also hit, as well as Iranian military positions in various parts of the country.

Israeli airspace remains completely closed to civil aviation until the security system decides to open the skies, the Israeli Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Transportation said in a joint statement.

“Due to the security situation, the skies over Israel are closed to civil aviation, with no flights taking off or landing. After approval by the security authorities, the Ministry of Transportation will announce the procedure for the return of flights in coordination with the various airlines, and will also provide further information,“ the statement said.
