The US military's strikes on Iranian targets have delayed Tehran's potential development of nuclear weapons by many years, US Vice President J. D. Vance said.

“I will not reveal sensitive intelligence about what we are seeing on the ground in Iran, but we have seen a lot of things and I am very confident that we have significantly delayed their development of nuclear weapons“, he told NBC News.

“I think we have set their nuclear program back a very long time. It will be many years before the Iranians can develop a nuclear weapon.“

The US administration claims that it is "not at war with Iran" despite the strikes on the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities.

„We are not at war with Iran. We are at war with Iran's nuclear program“, said the vice president.

The US is not at war with Iran, but with the Iranian nuclear program, said Vance, quoted by BTA.

Vance stressed that after the US strikes on nuclear sites in Iran, the Iranian nuclear program has been significantly slowed down. He mentioned that this delay is years and even more.

Vance welcomes Donald Trump's decision to bomb Iran.
