Currently, neither Ukraine nor Russia are members of NATO - my task is for it to remain that way, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said today before participating in the session on the second, final day of the NATO summit in The Hague, the Netherlands, BTA reports.
The prime minister made the statement with his hands in his pockets during the so-called doorstep - when stopping in front of media representatives before entering the meeting hall of the "World Forum" congress center.
"Russia is strong enough, that is why it poses a real threat," he noted.
"Common sense is currently being shown by the United States. What Donald Trump did with Iran and Israel is a policy of common sense. The result is a narrowing of the conflict," Orbán noted.
For him, Europe is losing competitiveness because from a security perspective, the focus should be on global trade.
