The death toll from the shooting in North Jerusalem has risen to six, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced at a joint press conference with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
„A terrible terrorist attack was carried out in Jerusalem this morning. Six Israelis have been killed so far, and many have been injured, including a pregnant woman,“ Saar said.
He added that according to preliminary information from law enforcement authorities, two Palestinians were behind the attack, opening fire on a passenger bus on the northern outskirts of Jerusalem.
Earlier, Israel's national ambulance service reported five deaths. It was also noted that a total of 12 people were injured and hospitalized. Of these, seven received serious gunshot wounds, two are in moderate condition, and three others received minor injuries from glass fragments.
