After yesterday we told you about the new Maserati Grecale Folgore, now another model of the Italians receives this designation and more specifically the convertible GranCabrio. The GranCabrio shares its drivetrain with the GranTurismo, meaning it has three permanent magnet radial motors - one at the front and two at the rear, each equipped with its own silicon carbide inverter. Together, these engines can deliver up to 1,207 hp, although the battery limits the maximum output to 818 hp. in "MaxBoost" mode and 751 hp under normal conditions.
The battery has a usable capacity of 83 kWh and is located just behind the passengers. During regenerative braking, the battery can take up to 400kW for a short time, and with continuous charging at a suitable station, it can be replenished from 20 to 80% of the charge in just 18 minutes, maintaining power up to 270kW. The shift paddles here serve to adjust the levels of regenerative braking. The GranCabrio also boasts a range of 450 kilometers on a single charge.
In terms of design, differences with the previously shown version of the CNG convertible can only be found in the front grille and bumper, as well as the apparent absence of exhaust tips.
