Gold futures for February 2026 delivery on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange hit a new record high, exceeding $4,750 per troy ounce, according to trading data.
As of 6:03 p.m. Eastern time, the price of the precious metal was $4,752.2 per troy ounce (up 3.41%). By 6:30 p.m. Eastern time, gold prices had accelerated to $4,756.6 per troy ounce (+3.51%), a daily high.
The price then slowed to $4,736.5 per troy ounce (+3.07%). Meanwhile, silver futures for March 2026 delivery on the Comex exchange rose 5.71% to $93.595 per troy ounce.
Since the beginning of January 2026, gold futures have increased by 9.8%.
