Quotations of the main grain commodities calmed down  - 1

On the last day of April, the quotations of the main grain commodities calmed down on the world grain markets, according to the experts of the Sofia Commodity Exchange (SSB). broadcast BTA.

Chicago FOB bread wheat rose just $2 to $240 a tonne and France added €4.25 to €213 a tonne. In Ukraine, quotations are also up - by 3 dollars to 203 dollars per ton, while in Russia for another week they are unchanged - 230 dollars per ton.

The movement in corn, which also had an upward effect a few days ago, is now completely reversed. In the US, the price moved with an increase of 1 dollar to 195 dollars per ton, and in France there was no change and the price remained at 200 euros per ton. In Russia, corn also rose in price minimally – by $1 to $185 per ton.

The price of barley in Ukraine, after a long standstill, added $7 to a level of $180 a ton for delivery in May. Rapeseed of "Euronex" (Euronext), after long and even sensitive fluctuations up and down since March, now continues with a decrease of 1.75 euros to 440 euros per ton.

Crude sunflower oil contracts on the Rotterdam Stock Exchange have seen a lot of swings since the start of the year and are now back down for May-June delivery, down $20 to $970 a tonne. Refined sugar, after earlier record declines this week, was barely budging on quotes for August delivery, up $0.10 to settle at $563.70 a tonne on the London Stock Exchange.

At the Sofia Stock Exchange, trade in the "Grain" sub-district remains calm and quotes were mostly unchanged. Bread wheat was offered at BGN 388 per ton, with delivery to buyer (DAP), and buyers were at BGN 300 per ton. Feed barley was in demand from 310 to 330 BGN per ton, and the offers "buy" for oilseed sunflower showed increased interest at 780 to 800 BGN per ton. Corn for immediate delivery was offered in the range of BGN 320 - 340 per ton.

The prices of basic commodities are stable at the same level as the initial prices. Oil in bottles is sold at BGN 2.20 per liter, there is also an offer of yellow peas in big backs of one ton at a starting price of BGN 1,200 per ton.

On the SSB this week there were deals for pellets at BGN 458.33 per ton. A wide variety of contracts were also sold in the chemical products section: motor oil at BGN 8,550/thousand liters, differential at BGN 7,900/thousand liters, engine oil in the range of BGN 11,320 - 16,830/thousand liters, compressor at BGN 7,720/thousand l, and reduced to BGN 7,100/thousand l.
