Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the relations between Turkey and Romania have reached the level of strategic partnership and the two countries intend to increase trade turnover to 15 bn. We are making confident steps in this direction and the investments of our companies in Romania have reached the 8 billion mark. USD“, Erdogan said.
He informed that the Turkish authorities have adopted a resolution according to which “Romanian citizens will be able to enter Turkey with internal identity cards.“
According to him, the countries have decided “to focus on expanding cooperation in the energy sector”. “One of the most important components of our interaction remains the defense industry and the military sphere. We work together with Romania along the lines of NATO in the Black Sea. With the participation of Bulgaria, we formed an operational group to combat mines in the Black Sea, Erdogan said.
