„Business is not represented politically, in practice there are no right-wing parties . Those who call themselves right-wing are left and ultra-left. Normal parties in Europe call them extreme right, but they are the center. The European model of industrial relations is a tripartite dialogue – those elected by the people to govern engage in dialogue with business and unions. This dialogue has not existed for a long time. The problem is that the EU is sinking, and we expect a position in Brussels from our rulers.
This was stated by the chairman of the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria Vasil Velev to NOVA
„There is no way to develop an economy well if all systems fail. We are in such a situation, Velev said.
„Let's start with education – those graduating from secondary education in these 4-5 years have decreased by 20%. Half of those born before the age of 18 no longer graduate. Vocational graduates have decreased by a third. In higher education, the quality is abysmally low. And at the entrance it is disgustingly low. For every secondary school graduate, there are 2 places in the universities,” commented Velev.
„A lot of money is being poured into health care. People are getting sicker and sicker, and the economic agents in health care are getting richer”, commented Velev.
„The pension system gives birth to a gray sector every day. With this unfortunate lifting and untying of the link between social security contributions and receiving a pension. The social system is broken – there abounds thefts from sick leave, disability pensions, from n.n. French unemployment. The situation is getting worse every day. People decrease, administration grows. We are the country with the most expensive electricity since the beginning of July. We will build new units at the Kozloduy NPP, half of the existing ones are not working. The same applies to PAVETS. The systems are about to collapse.
Manufacturing industry is at a double-digit loss. This is the situation. And the decline continues," said Vasil Velev.
We have sectors in the processing industry with a 20-30-40% decline, and we have no measures against this, he added.
