Russia and Norway have agreed on the management of fish resources in the Barents and Norwegian Seas until 2025, Rosrybolovstvo announced after the 54th meeting of the joint Russian-Norwegian Fisheries Commission (SRNA).
"During the session, the parties exchanged research data and catch statistics for 2023 and the past period of 2024 and approved the total allowable catches of cod, haddock and other aquatic biological resources for 2025 Mr. In addition, they discussed the regulation of fishing in the Barents and Norwegian Seas and its control measures, including the procedure for issuing fishing permits, the report states.
It is noted that the decisions taken at the annual sessions of the SRNA allow for a more rational use and regulation of the common reserves of Russia and Norway in the Barents Sea.
