In accordance with the agreement, Indonesia will buy energy and agricultural products worth $19.5 billion from the US and 50 Boeing aircraft, President Donald Trump announced.
„This historic agreement opens access to the entire Indonesian market for the first time in history for the US. As part of the agreement, Indonesia has committed to buying energy products worth $15 billion from the US, US agricultural products worth $4.5 billion USD and 50 Boeing aircraft, many of which will be 777 models“, he wrote on his page on the social network Truth Social.
The president confirmed that Indonesian goods shipped to the United States will be subject to a 19% tariff. American exports to the republic will be duty-free.
Earlier, Trump sent letters to the leaders of several countries, including Indonesia, about his intention to introduce additional tariffs from August 1. American tariffs on Indonesian goods were to be 32%. Indonesian authorities have announced their readiness to increase imports of American oil, gas and agricultural products if trade tariffs are reduced.
