Stoyu Stoev: It is speculation that Vassilev is trying to free himself from the people around Petkov - 1

It is speculation that Asen Vassilev is trying to free himself from the people around Kiril Petkov.

This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by the PP-DB MP Stoyu Stoev, a member of the Executive Council of "We continue the change", explaining:

"It is a personal decision for each of them to act in the way they did and to run for the respective other body. These are absolute speculations and all of them are fully committed to the cause of the PP and are doing everything they can to defend it. Both Nikola Minchev and Lena Borislavova are absolute speculations.

Anyone could be nominated and anyone could nominate, but it is everyone's personal decision whether to be a candidate for one of the party's bodies or not, Stoev explained in response to a question about why only Asen Vassilev was nominated as chairman of the PP.

The core of PP voters is stable, he also pointed out in the context of sociological surveys that give different weight to the party in the next National Assembly.

There is no alternative to our coalition with "Democratic Bulgaria", Stoev pointed out and commented:

"The relations and coordination between the parties in the coalition have been taking place on an informal basis until now - with talks. After the statement of Gen. Atanas Atanasov, we will discuss how best to coordinate - whether through talks or a structured coalition council. These are internal coalition matters. We are always united in our actions, we have different approaches to achieving them, but our goals are the same and this keeps us together".

The government of Rosen Zhelyazkov is not dealing with the water shortage, the problem has been there for years, but there are also many other problems that this cabinet is not dealing with, the PP-DB MP emphasized and specified that this is why the PP will support the vote of no confidence on the topic of the water shortage.

"This government and the majority do not respect the parliament. There is no quorum, the prime minister does not appear for blitz control. ... A quorum is provided by the ruling party, this is a basic principle of parliamentarism. We will decide whether to register if there is something important to discuss".
