We are already keeping the topic alive - with these words, the lawyer and MP from “Vazrazhdane“ Petar Petrov began his participation in the program “The Day Begins“ on BNT. He explained that the party has requested from a number of institutions - the Basin Directorate, the Regional Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and the National Directorate for the Environment - all documentation on the case of the construction around the “Elenite“ resort complex.
“We have requested documents since 2008. We will file a report with the prosecutor's office for criminal inaction and violation of the law," Petrov said.
He pointed out that there is evidence of illegal construction in riverbeds and that the control bodies "overslept" over the violations.
“Construction in riverbeds is absolutely prohibited, including laying pipes. This is not acceptable. For me, there is deliberate inaction on the part of many institutions.“
According to him, state bodies have violated the mandatory coordination and control procedures.
“There is corruption - absolute corruption, including in the local government in Nessebar," he emphasized.
“Since we established the party, we have been against such players, because human life has no price. He does not tolerate any deals, giving money under the table.“
Petrov pointed out that the problems with uncleaned riverbeds are not only at sea.
„In Montana, 36 points have been identified as risky, but nothing has been done. The regional government is justifying itself by saying that there is no money. Nature does not wait for money, regulations and findings.“
He insisted that the Prime Minister provide an explanation in parliament why funds for flood prevention have not been provided:
„The government must provide money for cleaning the riverbeds. One cannot wait for a disaster to find funds.“
Petrov confirmed that the „Vazrazhdane“ party has filed a report with the prosecutor's office regarding a publication in the "Wall Street Journal" about possible informal negotiations between Boyko Borisov and Donald Trump – Jr.
„Our duty as a political party is to notify the relevant authorities. We notified the prosecutor's office. We are not an investigative body – the prosecutor's office, through the investigative bodies, is the one that must collect the evidence.“
He rejected the accusations that the party “makes noise in the system“:
„Even in the statute of “Vazrazhdane“ it is written that we are opponents of GERB, DPS and the entire status quo that is killing the state.“
