Tomorrow, talks continue between the ruling party on how the government of the country will continue - with or without Peevski.
On Tuesday - two days after the elections in Pazardzhik, the leader of the party-mandate holder Boyko Borisov made a request for a reformatting of the government. This happened in a monologue broadcast live on social networks. On Friday, the picture was already different.
If Borisov shook the cabinet tree on Tuesday, why didn't ministers start falling from it?
„Because, probably, it doesn't depend much on Borisov anymore. And because - if he had any intention of this at all and if there is any sense in this at all, this is about Borisov himself, not the cabinet. If I were Borisov and "kick" my partners so seriously, question all appointments, expose my party, and to some extent myself - I will want something. If I were Borisov, I would now want to be prime minister - against some form of "New Beginning" entering power.
This was commented on in "120 minutes" on bTV by political analyst Parvan Simeonov.
“This would seem like a good deal, because "New Beginning" is entering anyway. It probably entered GERB through the back door a long time ago. And Borisov knows this. It is growing - and Borisov knows this. That is why he reacts so emotionally and even unhealthy”, he pointed out.
“Why shouldn't Borisov try to be prime minister now - given that he obviously wants it and for the sake of the record, and for the sake of history, for the sake of I don't know what - then it would make sense. And if this doesn't happen - I don't see what the point of this scene was at all. And it seems to me that with these movements Borisov sank even further, together with his party. And if he wants this, as it turned out, his partners can agree. It seems to me that they are ready for anything“, commented the political scientist.
“I think that we have not yet reached the decisive phase of this last action. The entry of “DPS-New Beginning“ into this government, officially into the executive branch, is not without problems. It is not without problems, because the leader, Mr. Peevski, is still sanctioned for corruption. And I think that in this time window, at present, there is very careful monitoring of the reactions - especially of our partners“, pointed out sociologist Dobromir Zhivkov.
„And this reaction, or these reactions, will determine to some extent and will influence how exactly the entry of „New Beginning“ into this government will happen. It is very clear", he pointed out.
According to Parvan Simeonov, it is entirely possible that some reformatting will occur, but "if there is any logic at all for Borisov to cash in on something, it is to try to be prime minister."
According to him, after the elections in Pazardzhik and at the national level, the pragmatic vote - artisanal, dependent, bought, will begin to orient itself towards "DPS-New Beginning".
"On Tuesday, I think the final stage of the "Borisov" model was formalized. We are already entering the next stage - will it be Delyan Peevski, will it be "New Beginning", he is different, but it is a further development of the model we have so far", noted Dobromir Zhivkov.
"We are at an absolutely new stage and this stage has already been officially announced", he added.
According to Parvan Simeonov, the ITN are always ready for "beautiful gestures", and if the elections are later, then that would be better for Rumen Radev.
Dobromir Zhivkov noted that it is not ruled out that the clash from now on will be between Peevski and Radev.
"We seem to be moving towards a state here, a statehood that wants to acquire absolutely everything in the executive branch at the given moment and for this to be based on certain goals", he pointed out.
"Let us realize that this refers to times that have passed before "70 years," the sociologist added.
