We are submitting to the registry of the National Assembly a request for a hearing of the Minister of Health Silvi Kirilov and the relevant deputy, in order to find out whether it is true that the technical documentation for the public procurement was hidden by the Public Council. This was said by the deputy chairman of Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria (DSB) and MP from "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) Yordan Ivanov on the sidelines of the parliament in connection with the resignation of the Public Council for the construction of the National Children's Hospital, reported by BTA.
If the documentation is hidden, this is a reason for resignation, the MP noted. According to Ivanov, the Public Council has made a clear and transparent statement that the documentation is hidden from them.
Ivanov also insisted that the minister provide a plan for how the process of building the National Children's Hospital will continue.
The Public Council was the one that guaranteed the transparency of the process, the MP pointed out. "The resignation was accepted for inexplicable reasons, instead of the relevant minister apologizing and the construction process being able to move forward," he added. According to him, the construction process was delegitimized after the resignation.
The Chairman of the Public Council, Prof. Ivan Litvinenko, told BTA that they were not provided with timely and sufficient information, the Ministry of Health is of the opposite opinion.
The Ministry of Health announced that the Minister of Health, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvi Kirilov, accepts the resignation of the members of the Public Council, formed in connection with the project for the construction of the National Children's Hospital.
