We proposed 120 leva for Christmas allowances for the poorest pensioners. There is a possibility that the budget can cover this expense. This was stated by GERB leader Boyko Borisov regarding Budget 2026. Today, deputies will consider the budgets of the Social Insurance Institution and the National Health Insurance Fund at first reading, and tomorrow the large budget, a reporter for "Focus" reported.
Borisov specified that GERB's proposal will be discussed with coalition partners.
"This morning I spoke with colleagues from other parties. A SSU will be made. We will also hear from the Bulgarian National Assembly, the Bulgarian Socialist Party has already spoken. And we will make a joint decision",
"There has never been such a generous budget", Borisov defended the budget plan.
In connection with the claims of the chairman of "We Continue the Change" Asen Vassilev that Borisov had a "secret breakfast in Bankya" with Rumen Spetsov and Valentin Zlatev, he stated:
"Anyone who knows me knows that I don't have breakfast or lunch. Rumen Spetsov has never come to Bankya. There has never been such a meeting. Spetsov has sent dozens of tax returns to my house - he has created such audits for me, but I cannot blame myself for not being a good head of the National Revenue Agency.
