The protests showed an attempt to sweep the situation under the carpet. This opinion was expressed by journalist Ruja Raicheva on BNT.
"Boyko Borisov first appeared and promised to withdraw the budget, the next day it turned out that it was not exactly a withdrawal, but a rewriting of the knee. He is influenced by the mood of the people, he does not like a large group to be against him. The BSP tried to tell him that this is the budget. The ITN are silent, which shows that they do not have much weight. We are observing an attempt to sweep a huge problem under the carpet. We continue to be late. This is our first budget in euros, which should be something wonderful", she added.
The trilateral dialogue was abruptly terminated not so much due to disagreement from the parties and unwillingness to make any compromises. But rather due to the fact that this necessity established as a practice is not legalized, that without it a budget cannot be adopted. But we are used to receiving debates, to coming up with opinions, after arguments, conversations and changes between the first and second reading, commented Prof. Rosen Stoyanov.
"Some of the employers' organizations had to hyperbolize some points in the budget. To build up additional tension, which was carried over to the protest on Wednesday. It is clear that there must be a budget, these people are at work. January 1 is coming in a few days and they have to work", he added.
"The Pernik budget" has crashed, said Miroslav Sevljevski.
The approach to the policy of increasing taxes, which the current rulers are trying to reverse, has crashed - both politically and socially. None of us are used to raising taxes. We are all used to having a "Trojan budget" or a "Gabrov budget". This is a budget of tightening belts and cutting taxes. This is the big political change that they tried to introduce, Sevljevski also pointed out.
"A big European debate is that something needs to be done - either to reduce spending or to increase taxes. All studies in Europe show that taxpayers are inclined to reduce their spending, not to increase taxes. "When we cut spending, we believe it's temporary, but when taxes increase - no one knows when they will be reduced," he added.
According to him, the most important thing is to have a budget before the New Year.
