Trump invites Radev to the Peace Council - 1

US President Donald Trump has sent a personal letter to Rumen Radev, inviting Bulgaria to join the founding countries of the newly established Peace Council – an international organization initiated by Trump himself, writes "Telegraph".

In the letter, the American leader also extends a specific invitation to Rumen Radev to personally represent Bulgaria in the future Council – a sign of trust and recognition of the outgoing Bulgarian head of state and the diplomacy of our country.

The new Peace Council has the ambitious goal of promoting international cooperation and diplomatic efforts to end military conflicts, with a focus on Gaza, but also other hot spots around the world.

In his response to Donald Trump, outgoing President Radev emphasizes the importance of the American president's peace initiatives and expresses hope that the commitment to diplomacy will lead to sustainable solutions and de-escalation of conflicts.

Radev also highlights another important detail - the appointment of a Bulgarian diplomat as High Representative for Gaza within the Peace Council, which, according to him, is a clear recognition of the role and expertise of Bulgarian diplomacy.

In his letter, Radev does not ignore the tense domestic political situation in Bulgaria - mass protests, resignations in government and the need to restore dialogue between institutions and citizens.

Radev stated that he is working to restore statehood, strengthen the rule of law and stabilize institutions, expressing confidence that in the near future our country will have a stable political environment.

In conclusion, Rumen Radev emphasized that Bulgaria is ready to deepen its strategic partnership with the United States and to actively contribute to global efforts for peace and security.
