A snowboarder has a traumatic brain injury, received on a slope in the Rila Lakes region, the Mountain Rescue Service (MSS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross reported to BTA.
There was a very serious case on the slope, a girl received a severe blow to the head, a medical helicopter was sent to take her to a medical facility, the rescue service specified. The girl has a traumatic brain injury.
Currently, the conditions for tourism in the mountains are relatively good. Facilities in the resorts are working everywhere, the MES also said.
There are moderate winds in the higher parts of the mountains, temperatures are relatively high between minus 3 and 1 degree, cloudy weather.
The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be about 8°, at 2000 meters - about 1°, according to the weather forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).
