A new signal about a gas leak from an enterprise in Karnobat raised the institutions on their feet. Six people sought help in the Emergency Department with symptoms of throat irritation and coughing, BGNES reported. The workers were evacuated to the yard of the enterprise.
Teams from the Regional Environment and Water Inspectorate, the Labor Inspectorate, the police, the fire department and the Regional Health Inspectorate have arrived on site to carry out an inspection.
The fire department reported that as early as last night, when the signal was received, a measurement was made, but no gas leak was detected.
„At 6.30, entering the robot, I felt unwell - nausea, burning in the eyes, some vomited. At 7 o'clock we were all ordered to leave our workplace. They are waiting to measure the level of gassing and so we are standing outside, commented a worker from the enterprise.
The first signal of a dangerous gas leak in the Karnobat industrial area was on April 5. Then the regional governor of Burgas, Plamen Yanev, commented that it was about an unregulated disposal of dangerous chemicals in a sewer that is not connected to the city sewer.
