The Prosecutor's Office: They are investigating a drug trafficking channel in Nastimir Ananiev's offices

Sofia City Prosecutor's Office gave details about the action in the offices of PP-DB MP Nastimir Ananiev, which is being held at the request of the Kingdom of Belgium and the Belgian Prosecutor's Office and for which "Focus" previously reported.

"In pursuance of a European Investigation Order issued in the Kingdom of Belgium, and after the permission of the SGS, actions are being taken to search and seize addresses in the city of Sofia

In connection with numerous journalistic inquiries about searches and seizures in offices in the city of Sofia, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office /SGP/ provides the following information:

The SGP is executing a European Investigation Order (EIO) issued by an investigating judge of the first instance in the city of Antwerp, Kingdom of Belgium, in connection with an investigation into an organized criminal group, illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, laundering of proceeds obtained from crime with the participation of Belgian individuals and legal entities and Bulgarian legal entities.

In this regard, the SGP has requested permission from the Sofia City Court to search and seize addresses on the territory of the city of Sofia. On the basis of an EAW issued by the Kingdom of Belgium, the court has authorized the execution of the procedural actions, in the implementation of which the authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are also involved.
