Another case of brutal behavior of a driver on the road in Sofia shocked the public. In it, as if by a miracle, a mother and child escape unharmed, only escaping with fright. They are nearly run over while crossing in broad daylight in a metropolitan neighborhood.
The video is from April 6th. It was uploaded to one of the large groups on the Facebook social network: “Nadezhda – my neighborhood“. It was published on Wednesday afternoon, with an urgent appeal for witnesses to the incident.
The footage clearly shows a mother holding her son's hand – boy of visible age about 10 years to cross near school 54 SU “St. Ivan Rilski“ in g.k. “Leo Tolstoy”. The mother has a backpack on her back, the boy is on a bicycle pushing along the canvas.
At that moment, when they have almost crossed, the two are hit by a yellow car – possibly a fee. The taxi driver bumps into them and most unceremoniously continues on his way, without stopping, without even slowing down, without giving them first aid, or at least making sure they are okay.
„In “Tolstoy”, at the 54th school and ran away without blinking an eye. We are looking for witnesses to the incident or at least the number of the car. "The mother and the child are fine," says Nadezhda Doycheva, quoted by BTV.
The mother and child escaped without serious injuries and consequences for two reasons: the taxi was moving at a low speed because the lane between the blocks is narrow, and after the impact, the mother and child fell on grass, which softened the impact.
The footage shows how the woman stands up quickly, brings her son to his feet, hugs him, as if still in shock from what happened, and calms him down.
The driver fled the scene and is currently being searched for, as are bystanders who witnessed the incident, which took place in an inter-block space.
Videos are shared in various groups on "Facebook" and cause a wave of indignation. There are thousands of reactions and shares, and in the comments below the video, users condemn the driver's actions and sympathize with the mother and child who were hit.
