PP-DB have no tactical benefit from the overthrow of Rosen Zhelyazkov. The only thing that happened with its removal is that it burned another bridge between PP-DB and GERB-SDS, which, however, they will need after the elections. "Rosen Zhelyazkov is one of the moderate figures. He never entered into sharp conflicts with the PP-DB. He has always been a balanced Speaker of the Parliament. The political scientist emphasized that this is a political act, but the question is whether it is useful:
"As for BSP and "Revival" - they are consistent, since they did not support changes to the Constitution and can complain against the order regulating political activity inside the National Assembly during the campaign. PP-DB are the authors of these changes, and I don't know how they imagine the work organization of the National Assembly during a campaign. The strangest thing is why PP-DB burned that bridge with GERB shortly before they had to work together again. This was not the figure at which it was most logical to shoot, there are other parliamentary blades such as Delyan Dobrev, Toma Bykov", commented Toncho Kraevski.
He defined the move of PP-DB as forceful and expressed bewilderment as to what they expect as a response.
According to him, there is no other majority, other than the one that accepted the changes to the Constitution, that will continue to govern in the next parliament: "The question is under what conditions and how they will be assembled again".
Because of his conviction, the political scientist drew attention to the fact that both GERB-SDS and PP-DB can take such actions only to mobilize their electorates:
