Police officers seized illegal weapons and ammunition from a private home in Burgasko, BNT reported.
Initially, a 40-year-old man from the village of Vinarsko went to the Regional Office in Kameno, who handed over a pistol "IZH 78-8". and 42 rounds of ammunition to it. He stated that the gun was owned by his 69-year-old father.
The elderly man was found to have no officially registered firearms. A search was carried out at his home, and a hunting semi-automatic rifle and 45 12-gauge ammunition were discovered and seized. The man explained that he had bought them in Greece and brought them to Bulgaria without the necessary permits.
Expedited proceedings have been initiated on the case.
