A 5-year-old child died last night in the Emergency Department of the Blagoevgrad Medical Center.
The signal was received by the police a little after 2 hours, reports Struma.com.
The child is from the Kocherinovo village of Stob and was admitted to the emergency department shortly after midnight.
Relatives and the sick child visited an emergency center in the city of Rila last night, where the duty team did not pay enough attention, according to a source on Pirinsko.com. About two hours after the visit to the emergency room in Rila, the child's health worsened and the relatives decided to transport him to the Emergency Department of the Blagoevgrad Medical Center.
Unfortunately, around 2:00 a.m. upon arrival at the emergency medics, the child was already dead.
According to the doctors at Blagoevgrad Medical Center, the child was dead when he was brought in by ambulance. In the Emergency Department, intubation and resuscitation were attempted, but it was already too late for such actions.
The police in Rila and Blagoevgrad are on their toes because of the child's death. The prosecutor's office has been informed! The emergency team in Rila and Blagoevgrad are being questioned.
Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted for causing death by negligence.
