Cornelia Ninova and the candidates for people's representatives from the list “BSP for Bulgaria” in Veliko Tarnovo they met with farmers and producers of Bulgarian products at the national meeting of sheep breeders. They were warmly welcomed. Dozens of farmers shared their problems and sought support and solutions.
"For years we have been fighting for Bulgarian, native, quality and tasty fruits, vegetables, milk and meat,", said Ninova. "Remember how many years we fought with the commercial chains that bullied Bulgarian producers. In the next parliament, we will urgently take the following measures:
1. The “Irrigation systems” that GERB destroyed, cut and scrapped must be restored. Without irrigation there is no agriculture.
2. To equalize the European subsidies of our farmers with those of other European producers. With lower subsidies, we are uncompetitive.
3. Bulgarian subsidies should not go primarily to grain producers, but to fruit, vegetable, milk and meat producers.
4. To shorten the supply chain from field to table. It is not possible for resellers to earn huge sums of money from people's labor and from consumers without putting in an ounce of work.
These measures were accepted with approval and welcomed by the participants in the assembly.
