The Constitutional Court unanimously admitted for consideration on the merits the request of people representatives for declaring as unconstitutional the decision of April 17, 2024 of the 49th National Assembly for the early termination of the mandate of Stanimir Mihailov as manager of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), it is known from a message published on the court's website.
11 constitutional judges were present at the meeting. The definition was adopted unanimously.
According to the people's representatives, there is a contradiction with the principle of the rule of law and legality and the principle of separation of powers.
