Two Bulgarians were arrested on the island of Samothraki for manslaughter carelessness, BNR reported.
Two Bulgarians, aged 56 and 57, killed a swimmer near the island of Samothraki. The Bulgarians went fishing on a motorboat to the island, hitting a 43-year-old Greek man, an experienced diver and firefighter, with the boat, the police explained.
According to the rules, the victim marked with a buoy the place where he was fishing, but the Bulgarians did not notice the sign and passed over it with the boat.
Death occurred instantly, the blow was very strong, said the coroner.
The Bulgarians were arrested by the police of the port town of Kamariotisa on the island of Samothraki.
The perpetrators have been charged with manslaughter by negligence.
On the occasion of the case, the authorities call for extreme caution when driving boats and yachts when people are swimming in the sea.
