By order of the Acting Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov from Today, an inspection of the organization of activities in NC “Railway Infrastructure” begins.
The scope of the audit includes the financial management and control of the company, the safety management systems, as well as the procedures for safe and healthy working conditions.
The reason for the urgent inspection is the frequent incidents on the railway network, the latest of which was from yesterday evening.
„ We cannot allow a compromise with the safety rules in any state company,” said Minister Georgi Gvozdeikov. According to him, a large part of the repair work is carried out by NKŽI without interrupting the train traffic, and this requires even stronger safety measures and more serious control of the working conditions of the employees.
The deadline for the audit is June 19.
