"In the elections, the majority of Bulgarians voted for the parties that declared our entry into the Eurozone and support for the euro continues".
This was stated specifically for FACTS by the economist Rumen Gulabinov.
"Bulgaria meets almost all the criteria for entering the Eurozone, and we only slightly exceed the inflation criterion, so we can safely hope for a positive report and it is important that our politicians do not hold the entry into the Eurozone hostage to their narrow party interests. A national political consensus on the subject is important, and regardless of who will be the opposition, who will govern, it is important to vote in principle on this subject in the National Assembly", added the economist.
"Bulgaria has gained momentum and should not be delayed. We can be in the Eurozone from 2025, because there is technical readiness, mobilization is needed and the chance should not be missed", Galabinov concluded.
