Only with the first term (of GERB-SDS) can a cabinet be formed. With a DPS mandate, it would blow up the 50th parliament. Radev cannot give a mandate to the PP-DB, because he cursed the previous government, handing the mandate to Nikolay Denkov.
This is what Veselin Stoynev warned before the BNR.
According to him, Boyko Borisov will lose either now because, if he does not form a government, he will be swept away by Radev in new elections, or in the long term, because a cabinet with DPS and mimicking the reforms he is expected to carry out will brought a continued outpouring of support for GERD.
GERB proposes a non-coalition, but under the guise of an expert government: "We have two parties - GERB and DPS, with the participation of a third - probably ITN, which have been silent for a week, Veselin Stoynev pointed out.
"The role of President Rumen Radev is constantly growing, the window in front of him as a political alternative is increasing more and more. If Boyko Borisov does not form a government and we go to elections, the most likely scenario, as long as the president decides and dares to enter the political arena, is to sweep away a significant part of the political formations, sucking out their voters. This is one of the reasons why Borisov will form a government at any cost, which, however, will be very inconvenient for him in the long term," he commented.
