A government without GERB and DPS promised the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov to President Rumen Radev. We are doing a stress test of the Bulgarian political system to see if the masks fall or not. During the election campaign, everyone said that they would not form a government with GERB and DPS, and in the first week they started to bend.
This was stated by Kostadin Kostadinov during the consultations with Rumen Radev.
"It is possible to have a government in this parliament. 125 mandates are different from those of DPS and GERB. If we want to show that there can be a country that is not governed by Borisov and Peevski, now is the time," noted Kostadinov.
He was adamant that "Revival" will not support a minority cabinet.
Low voter turnout has put legitimacy to the test. How do you see civic apathy overcome? How do you assess the future ahead of the 50th National Assembly? GERB-SDS stated that if they do not form a clear majority, they will form a minority government. Would you support the idea and under what conditions and do you have a formula for getting out of the difficult political situation. This was stated by President Rumen Radev during the consultations on forming a government with representatives of "Vazrazhdane".
In addition to choosing a future cabinet, the election of a patriarch is to come. We requested that the CSNS be convened, we still do not have an answer from your side, added Kostadinov. The head of state assured that he is monitoring the processes in the BOC and has made an official inquiry, receiving an answer that there is no threat. "If there is a serious, critical external threat, we can convene the CSNS, but at the moment there is none," Radev added.
