We had a constructive conversation with President Rumen Radev, calm and pleasant, in which we proposed the implementation of a government with a clear program management. Of course, as the most a small political party, we have no pretensions to create it, but a continuation of our actions for clarity about what a government will do, what commitments it will make, in what terms and what are the expectations of this government – no one has answered these questions. This is what Nikolay Markov of Velichie told journalists after representatives of the party met with President Radev, reports novini.bg.
„Since the beginning of the formation of the National Assembly, we have been trying to have a conversation between political leaders who bear the responsibility, not their contact groups. We need to be clear about what this government will do“, he added.
When asked if they would vote “for“ GERB's minority government, Markov clarified: “We know nothing about his goals and objectives, how can we support him? We need to know absolutely everything. We want Bulgarian citizens to know what this government will do. We are in a difficult historical moment. What is to come in a month from the summit concerns the whole of Europe, and hiding some political formations behind expert governments, which are actually coalition governments in disguise, is not honorable.“
He is adamant that from “Greatness” are ready to support any policy that is in favor of the Bulgarian citizens, “if we know what it is about and they familiarize us with the specific goals and tasks“.
„We will make a decision as a political force once the objectives are clear to us. Bulgarian citizens want to know what comes next, to know what this historical moment is filled with. The running of the first three political forces and hiding them behind some expert offices aims for exactly this - to cover up the goals and tasks of what is about to happen in Bulgaria,”, he also said.
Markov is adamant that an expert cabinet means a hidden coalition formula.
In his words, the closest thing to the party is a program management that is announced in advance to the citizens clearly and unequivocally: “We will support everything that benefits the citizens, and we will not support anything that harms them. Nothing is finished until it is spoken.“
„We have a priority and that is the NATO summit. We made efforts yesterday to clarify Bulgaria's position on this meeting. We found out from President Rumen Radev that he himself is not familiar, and has been put in a condition to read something that he himself does not know. This problem must be shed light to make it clear who is responsible”, the party warned.
When asked about giving weapons to Ukraine, Markov stated that he was against it, and also that he was not pro-Russian, but pro-Bulgarian.
