When we talk about road safety, this should be referred to the owner of the road, namely the relevant municipality. This happens with certain requirements regulated in legal and by-laws.
This is what Commissioner Maria Boteva of the “Traffic Police told NOVA.
She pointed out that the change in traffic in the center of Sofia must be coordinated with certain authorities, including state institutions and the “Traffic Police”. “This was not done in this case”, Commissioner Boteva confirmed.
She appeals to drivers and pedestrians to be careful.
In connection with summer trips, Boteva called for responsible behavior and compliance with traffic rules.
