In fulfillment of Art. 99, para. 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, President Rumen Radev will hand over a mandate to form a government to the candidate for Prime Minister, nominated by the largest parliamentary group - that of GERB-SDS, on July 1, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.< /p>
By law, the first mandate goes to the first political power – GERB-SDS. They have 7 days to implement it. If they fail, the president hands the second mandate to the second political formation – DPS. If they also fail, the head of state chooses the third party to give a mandate.
