The National Council of PP “Movement Yes Bulgaria” accepted a mandate to participate in the initiated renegotiation of the coalition agreement with the aim of upgrading and expanding the PP-DB coalition. This was announced by the party in a press release.

„The National Council finds that the heavy electoral loss requires a serious and thorough effort to change and upgrade the work of the coalition, because only in this way can it be guaranteed that it will be able to start getting back the lost voters. The National Council confirmed the decision for the people's representatives from “Yes, Bulgaria!”, within the general parliamentary group of PP-DB, to be in opposition to the management model of GERB and DPS”, their position states.

The National Council has discussed the upcoming procedures for changes to the statute and election of a new National Council, National Control Commission and Chairman of the Movement.

„Proceeding from the need to upgrade and develop the PP-DB coalition, but also from taking serious measures for changes, in view of the extremely bad result of the elections and the accumulated weaknesses and problems in the work, accepted a mandate to participate in the talks for renegotiation of the coalition formula, for which there is already an agreement between the three parties in the coalition”, the party also wrote.

According to their position, the mandate foresees guarantees for upgrading and expanding mechanisms for collective decision-making and representation; to preserve the ideological identities of the formations in the coalition, as a condition for expanding their common support; for a unified and coordinated communication policy; for the selection of candidates for elective positions based on qualitative criteria; to promote the inclusion of civil candidates and the use of preferences under guarantees of ethics and honest dialogue with voters.
