This was stated by the co-chairman of PP-DB Atanas Atanasov and explained that he had mentioned the fact of the protection of the leader of GERB-SDS from fears of pressure. “I am raising the alarm about whether there is a risk that the mandate holder is under pressure. He may or may not be pressured to form a government. External or internal forces may have interests, he emphasized.
During the past week, there was another round in the parliament between PP-DB politicians and representatives of the services - with accusations of espionage. “This was a specific active event to divert attention from something much more important, namely the Prime Minister's refusal to appear in the National Assembly. The request of our parliamentary group was to explain all the dismissals and appointments in the security services. There is a complete purge, which is being carried out by the interim government after the elections,”, said Atanasov.
He noted that in the previous administration he was offered to take the post of head of DANS, but then he refused and has no such intentions.
In his words, PP-DB will not support the formula for a minority government.
„According to the Bulgarian Constitution, the church is separated from the state. But I don't know if the place of the entire state elite is there. Neither the state should interfere in church affairs, nor vice versa. This is some Russian tertype of intercourse between the state and the church," Atanasov pointed out regarding the enthronement ceremony of the new Bulgarian patriarch.
