The city beach in Vidin is about to go down in history as it is currently undergoing a major renovation. The beach is on three levels, with sand and the Danube river is in front of it. The facility is located next to the beautiful historical landmark "Baba Vida".
"There is a rumor in the public space that there will be no more beach. Yes, but this means that when the Danube River is high, as it is now, there are high waters and there is no coastline below, there is no beach for the people of Vidin at all. This beach can be used almost all year round. I think this is one place where people can really use the three factors – sun, air and water. And a view. "Actually, restoration, conservation and strengthening of the fortress walls, part of the Tursko Kale, is currently being carried out. The walls are compromised, large pieces are falling, they are dangerous for the life and health of all tourists. Due to the many inquiries and increased public interest as to whether the beach will be preserved, last week I initiated a working meeting between the investor control of the supervisor and I am waiting for their opinion on how I can preserve the beach here on top of the terrace. They assured me that it could happen. We are making changes to the project proposal," explained Vidin regional governor Ani Harutyunyan.
