She also commented on the hypotheses that appeared in connection with Brendo's voluntary surrender, namely that he was sick, that he ran out of money, that he wanted to spend less time in prison. “With so many properties and so long – 30-year-old, work experience in one narrow profile – I seriously doubt he will register with the Bureau of Labor and went to prison to feed him a nice meal and look for a roof over his head. I think that's a sign that he wants to serve his sentence. And secondly – that he is retiring. There will be a proposal to accumulate his sentences, meaning that if that happens – he will lie down a lot less”, the journalist stressed.
Cholakova expressed confidence that “it is quite possible for Brendo to retire”. “If he wants to live… he should do it. In my view, his surrender to the authorities was clearly of his own volition. Obviously, all the fuss with his appearance. It was like a movie, and Brendo is known to be quite a risky player, extreme, prone to provocations. After his first novel he wrote, it was implied that he needed privacy to write his second book,” she stated.
