„As a parliamentary group and as a party, we have not stated that we wish to be given the third mandate by the president, but there is a constitutional procedure and if the president considers and decides that the mandate should be given to the BSP, we will do everything accordingly possible to have a conversation with everyone. It is clear to all of us that our country needs a government. But it should not be political, but an expert government that protects the national interest," Dimitrova said on BNT.
When asked if anyone has already talked to the BSP about possible support for the next term, she replied: No. At the moment, no talks have been held with the BSP, neither as a party nor as a parliamentary group.
On the subject of whether BSP has unacceptable partners, Dimitrova said: What I can say is that we have national bodies of the party - this is the National Council. Once we have a mandate from the National Council for a mandate to negotiate, then we as a parliamentary group will engage in talks, both with Continuing the Change and other political parties that eventually get the mandate.
Regarding the partners, we expressed our opinion that we do not support a government proposed by GERB, nor by DPS. We have a decision not to support the first and second mandate if it is given to DPS", she also said.
